Northern Illinois Local Food Cooperative (NILFC) is your go-to online marketplace for fresh, locally sourced food and handcrafted goods. We connect farmers and producers from Ogle County and beyond to meet the growing demand for sustainable, community-grown products.

By working together, our producers benefit from shared support in marketing, selling, packaging, and delivery—making it easier to bring their best to your table. Each week, our platform delivers fresh, healthy, and locally made food directly to you in a cost-effective and convenient way, strengthening the local food system and supporting the people who grow it.

Forreston Pick up: 220 1st Ave Every Sunday at 3:30-4 pm (Please enter through the side door of the building to pick up your items)

Lanark- 521 W Locust St Please pick up your returnable bags at the table in the driveway between 5-6pm on Sundays!

TIPS FOR USING THE WEBSITE:

When you click the “Sign Up” link, you’ll be asked to enter your email and create a password to set up your account. On the next page, you’ll select your pickup location (or choose “home delivery” if that’s your preference) and provide your contact information.

After completing your registration, you can start shopping as soon as the buying window opens (Wed. at noon through Saturday at noon). You can browse products by category, producer, or specific attributes to find exactly what you’re looking for.

On the shopping page, items with multiple size options will have an arrow next to the price — click the arrow to open a drop-down menu and select your preferred size. You can also click on a product’s image to view more details, such as ingredients or to add it to your favorites list for future orders.

You can place multiple orders during the buying window, and you’ll only be charged one pickup fee—since all your orders are combined into a single invoice. Please note that adding an item to your shopping cart does not reserve it. To make sure an item is held for you, you must check out right away by selecting “Confirm Order.”

When you place your first order, you’ll be asked to enter your credit card information, which will then be securely stored for future use (you can update it at any time). After confirming your order, its status will show as “Confirmed” but “Unpaid.” Your card will not be charged until —after we’ve verified that you received all the items you ordered and applied any credits to your account. Once payment is processed, your order status will change to “Paid,” and you’ll receive your final invoice by email.
